Every state has a lemon law, and every state’s is different, which is why this guide teaches the shape of the process rather than the rules. The second thing to know is that lemon-law cases are won and lost on paperwork, specifically the repair orders the dealership writes, and most buyers do not realize the document the service advisor hands them is the evidence until it is too late.

This is an overview from the service drive, where the repair orders are created. It is not legal advice; your state attorney general’s consumer office publishes the statute, and most lemon-law attorneys offer a free review.

Upload the dealer’s worksheet or buyer’s order and a FMYCAR advisor validates every line (price, trade, fees, rate, term, add-ons) and tells you exactly what to fix before you sign. Typical clients find $800–$3,000 of markup, fees and products they didn’t need; typical, not guaranteed, and if the deal is clean we tell you to sign.
