Free preview · from the dealership side of the desk
The best way to buy a car is to have the price settled before you walk in. Email lets you ask four or five dealers for the same exact quote, compare them side by side, and visit only the best one. It also puts everything in writing, which makes it much harder for a number to change once you’re in the building. If two stores are $800 apart on the same car, the only way to find out is to ask both.
The problem is most people send “What’s your best price?” and get a phone call, a “come on in,” or a number with no fees shown. From the dealership side, internet sales staff answer dozens of leads a day; clear, specific ones get real answers fastest. Free tip: ask for selling price, add-ons, doc fee, tax and registration as separate lines. Below: all seven templates, from first request to counter-offer, trade-in, confirmation and polite no, plus a worked comparison of the replies.
